Tinnitus is a noise which originates in the ear and not from any other outside source. It is not a disease but a symptom. Patient may experience ringing sound in any one ear or sometimes in both the ears or in head. Ringing sound is general, but in some patients it may take the form of high pitched buzzing, whining, humming, whistling, clicking, ticking, roaring, beeping or the hissing sound.
There are some causes of tinnitus, which includes wax in ear, ear infections and fluid drain. It may produce due to the side effect of any medications like aspirin.
