Tinnitus is a noise which originates in the ear, not from any other outside source. It is not a disease, but a symptom. Patients may experience ringing sound in any one ear or sometimes both in the ears. Ringing sound is general, but in some patients, it may take the form of high pitched buzzing, whining, humming, whistling, ticking, roaring, beeping or the hissing sound.
There are many causes of tinnitus, which includes wax in ear, ear infections and fluid drain amongs them. It can also be due to the side effect of some other medication like aspirin.

- Glomus Tympanicum
Tinnitus Symptoms
General tinnitus symptoms are as follows:
- Dizziness
- Pain in the ear
- A sense of fullness in the ears
- Headache
